A huge round of applause to 6th graders Julia and Samara! They presented to the school board about the group they created, Kindness Klub. Around 40 6th graders meet every Thursday to discuss/activate kindness in their school and community. A special thanks to Assistant Principal Mitch Hegland, Social Worker Anita Gibson and 6th grade teachers Sra Chepokas & Sra Moen for their support in the Kindness Klub.
Congrats to all!
Looking for gardeners for a “Prep the Garden Event” after school on Wed. March 23rd to get ground ready to plant!
With the weather looking more like spring, we are planning on creating an outdoor garden area. We want the area to be a place kids/staff from both schools can visit as things begin to grow.
Please email Oak Point Principal, Joel Knorr if you’d be willing to volunteer with some “sweat equity” to get the ground ready on March 23.
The date has been extended to Monday, 3/14!
A message from EDEN PRAIRIE SCHOOLS
Parents and Guardians of Eden Prairie Schools:
Eden Prairie Schools is moving forward with the first phase of our long-term academic planning through the Designing Pathways process. We are kicking off the process by gathering your input and values associated with academic programming design. That research will help guide the work of a small team of people who will develop an academic vision and options for the community to consider.
In order for us to ensure the community’s values are reflected throughout this work, I am urging you to take time out of your busy schedules to complete this anonymous voluntary survey.
It is important all survey participants carefully consider and read through the questions. A list of academic definitions have been developed for your reference. To ensure the results are accurate, it is strongly advised that those unfamiliar with specific terminology or programming, select “I don’t know” or “I need more information.” (Please note: if you are taking this survey on a mobile device, be sure to click the arrow in the bottom right of the screen to advance to the next question.)
You are welcome to visit the Designing Pathways website to learn about this process. For questions, please contact the communications department at 952-975-7150 or email@example.com. The survey will be available until Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
Thank you for your partnership and engagement in this important effort.
Join us on March 2nd, 6pm in the Administrative Services Center (8100 School Road) for a meeting with the Superintendent and district team.
